Moving forward, things will look a little different in the treatment room, but a rose by any other name would smell as sweet! The guidelines for practice that have been issued by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards are aggressively aimed at mitigation of infection, and I support them fully. I am committed to continue to bring the quality of work and standard of care that is expected of me. I have procured new equipment and supplies, and undergone training in order to provide the absolute best for my clients, with everyone's safety in mind.
Some of the changes include:
*therapist and client must wear a mask at all times. I wear mine for you, and thank you for wearing yours for me!
*friends/family members are not permitted to wait in the reception area
*temperature reading(a reading of 100.4 or higher will result in the appointment being canceled). I will take my own temperature twice a day, and am happy to take it just prior to your appointment, if you so wish.
*I will be changing clothes in between each appointment
*face massage and home visits are currently prohibited
*if you are not feeling well, please cancel your appointment. Missed/ canceled appointment charges are suspended for the time being.
The CDC indicates that the following underlying conditions place people at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19:
*people aged 65 years or older
*chronic lung disease
*moderate to severe asthma
*compromised or suppressed immunity
*chronic kidney disease
Thank you for your continued patience in a time when we are all adjusting and adapting. As always, I am happy to answer any questions !
